Din Tai Fung has three, new, highly anticipated locations opening this year and we couldn’t be more excited. That’s right, three! There’s been an ongoing debate on this side of the screen over which location is best, and to be honest, they’re all so great, it’s really hard to chose. So where are we talking about?
Of course, the first opening we’re talking about is at Downtown Disney at Disneyland in Anaheim, California. This highly anticipated addition promises to add a new dimension to the already bustling entertainment hub, offering visitors a taste of authentic Taiwanese flavors right in the heart of mouse hub.
The next, wonderfully situated spot, is in Santa Monica Place. Steps away from the beach, diners can stroll around Third Street Promenade, enjoy some dumplings and then wander up Ocean Avenue.
Lastly, and arguably the most exciting, is the location that is opening in New York City! DTF fans will know, that this will be their first location on the East Coast. And hey, if you’re going to up open a restaurant on the East Coast, Manhattan is certainly the place to do it! Located just north of Times Square, on the west side, the acquired space is a massive 26,000 square feet. The restaurant will be located in the Paramount Plaza building, between 50th and 51st street on Broadway (at 1633 Broadway, New York, NY 10019).
We’re excited to see what the open restaurant will look like in a few months. We can picture it now, tall ceilings, bright lights, full of people enjoying juicy, soupy dumplings.

You really can’t go wrong when it comes to placing your order. Of course, most people who visit want to try their xiao long bao, do it! We love their classic Kurobuta Pork Xiao Long Bao. There are so many other items on the menu that are also delicious, so go crazy!
We’ve had the privilege of dining at Din Tai Fung’s all over, including in Singapore, Los Angeles and Vegas, and we have tried so many things! A few of our favorite dishes to order are: Noodles with Sesame Sauce, Kurobuta Pork Buns, Shrimp and Pork Spicy Wontons, Cucumber Salad, Braised Beef Noodle Soup, Shanghai Rice Cakes with Chicken, Shrimp Fried Rice or Pork Chop Fried Rice.
