Restaurant recommendation: This one is easy. Joe’s Shanghai in Chinatown is always a recommendation we make to anyone visiting NYC. They’re known for their XLB, or xiao long bao, and to say these tender pouches of soup heaven are delicious is an understatement. The classic pork are our favorites, but you can’t go wrong with the crab either. The rice cakes or Shanghai noodles, scallion pancakes, shredded crispy beef, pineapple fried rice and general Tso’s chicken are other great dishes to try.
4. Charleston, South Carolina, USA

Restaurant recommendation: Known for it’s amazing asian cuisines, it’s no surprise that our recommendation for San Francisco is a Japanese restaurant. Marufuku Ramen serves up delicious, authentic Hakata style ramen. The Tonkotsu and Chicken Paitan ramens are among their most popular. The Chicken Paitan is limited to 15 servings daily, so if you want to try this, be sure to go earlier on in the day. The restaurant does not accept reservations, but they do have a wait list that guests can add their names to when they arrive. If you are going on the weekend, be prepared for a wait!

Well now that you know, it should come as know surprise to you that our recommendation for Denver is a dim sum restaurant called Nana’s Dim Sum and Dumplings. It’s not your everyday dim sum spot, but it has items on the menu you won’t believe! It’s does have a higher than average price tag for dim sum, but the experience is worth it. Be sure to try their jumbo crab rangoons and beef scallion pancakes or their truffle soup dumplings! One cool thing is that you can check the current wait right online before heading over there and get yourself on a waitlist if you didn’t make a reservation in advance.
